In a person's life, there are occasional moments that invite us to become better – more coherent, more patient, more vibrant, more joyful, freer, nobler. There is a desire to come alive, to gather oneself, to shed all unnecessary burdens, and to straighten one's back. An impulse arises to rise and move forward.
Such a bright moment can be associated with a quatrain, a transcendental melody, a touch of nature's grandeur, or simple silence – anything. When was the last time this happened? Last month? A year ago, ten years ago? Maybe now, today?
If Bright Moments Are Few
Can anyone name at least three dates of their life's bright moments? Oh dear, it seems there are more dates for relatives' birthdays and death anniversaries, name days, and holidays. That's okay; this numerically disharmonious proportion can be corrected in several ways:
Remember all the many dates of bright moments so that they form a majority;
Forget all birthdays and death anniversaries, name days, and holidays. In other words – burn the calendar.
Eliminate the aesthetically toxic box – the television, which reminds us of dates.
Take an indefinite break from inherited traditions and public holidays.
I recommend the last three options in any case.
If Bright Moments Are in Majority, Congratulations! You are a rich person.
Never Stop the Flow of Bright Moments
People, without realizing it, spoil, destroy, or overlay bright moments with daily duties and habits. In this way, the flow of bright moments is stopped at its peak.
Significant revelations or insights are celebrated with another toast instead of setting sail. The opening of the heart turns into heartache and tears instead of smiles and joy. Sometimes, quite simply, the calendar calls. And bright moments are again postponed to some later time.
What holds us back each time from indulging, enjoying the impulse, and moving further into brightness, depth, and lightness? Is the human soul and spirit really so cruel and evil that they would trample such beautiful moments and turn them into dirt? Hardly.
I suspect these have been yet another victory of the parasitic mind over the mighty spirit and noble soul. Of course, also over the body. It should generally stay silent and not even try to interfere. Who is the main one here?
PARASITE!
Oh, what a strategic victory. The next one will be even easier to win! Triple bravo – beat the spirit, soul, and body! The parasite rejoices. Maybe mark it on the calendar and throw a fireworks show?
Why Are Bright Moments Important?
They are a person's strength and inspiration. They were meant for a specific person at a specific time. Bright moments are a huge event in this material, limited world because they offer a real opportunity to go beyond boundaries.
This strength can be revived by recalling it. Just remember and let go again. I invite you to dig into your memories!
Maybe something valuable will be found... Some hint of freedom or an exit... Some impulse for new changes, ascension... There must be some pearl, some revelation, some springboard.
When the next bright moment comes, you must let go. Postpone everything else and flow to the end.
Those who strive for brightness, bright moments will come to them.
I will reveal that I was once uplifted by Latvian folk songs, the music of Imants Kalniņš, the band "Menuets," and some "Pink Floyd" albums. I contemplated quatrains, sometimes listened to songs on cassettes or records motionlessly or like a complete madman, indulging in this flow because it was so enjoyable, so deep. Even now, the aftertaste of lightness remains. A miraculous and pure journey of feelings and senses. Any rational arguments to stop this process were inadequate and unreasonable.
